Always easier to look on a presented result - instead of being confronted with the situation, and trying to figure out what the most convincing result would need.
In this case - and according to your question to prioritise the motif-choice in the comment, in this case my personal impression would be that your image would have got the touch more when getting much closer.
From all I can see, the people next to the colourful clothes, the in our understanding poor, picturesque building - and the close neighbourhood of the small stripe with corn - all these elements would have covered almost the same impression - but with a much direct involvement.
There is of course a question of ethics involved - is it actually ethical correct to picture '' poor '' people in Rumania in order to gain attention for our photographic excursions when back in Norway ?
It is certainly hard to find one final answer to this - one more technical rule is helping here - avoid long lenses - means you have to get close - and getting close is a double-challenge.
Close also means closer contact to the people - and a better mutual understanding - incl. the chance to realise when such images are not welcome.
In your case this is obviously not a problem - the signs from the people in your image are of friendly, inviting nature.
In my view the details in your image are correct, the image is based on sympathy - and curiosity for the differences.
But as an image it is not connected enough, it seems to taken from a distance I would have loved to miss in such an image - it almost appears as to be taken from a bus, train or similar - close, but still from a different perspective, world.
Like the image is now - it might also come across as a touch too peaceful - a bid old-time romance.
But as said in the beginning - it is very easy to see at home and develop thoughts like this - when not knowing how, where and when - under which circumstances this image was made.
To my mind certainly of more interest than many cats and their favourite dish in all sizes - birds.

Teknisk: Det heller litt mot venstre, men det er jo lett å rette opp. Og så er det vel ikke helt skarpt, men det synes jeg ikke gjør noe.

Jeg liker motivet, fargerikt og fint med tåka som kommer. Barna som vinker og klesvasken viser at dette er et hverdagsmiljø. Tipper at du har tatt bildet fra et tog eller noe sånt? I så fall synes jeg utsnittet er fint som det er. Hvis du derimot står på bakken når du tar bildet, kan det vel ha noe for seg å gå nærmere. Men det blir et helt annet bilde, og du mister omgivelsene som har veldig mye å si for hvordan man oppfatter situasjonen.

For meg er dette ganske vellykket. Avstanden er kjølig, men kontakten er der og den gir et overblikk over omgivelsene deres. Litt skjevt, litt uskarpt og hadde det ikke vært for menneskene som vinker haddet det vært ganske mislykket. Nå synes jeg skjevheten passer.
